Carolyn Jean Matheny

Carolyn Jean Matheny, 74, of Belpre, Ohio went to our Lord Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Arbors at Marietta.She was born April 23, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Ruth Baldwin Cady.Carolyn was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus and worked in the trucking industry. She enjoyed collecting Thomas Kincaid memorabilia and collecting angels and was a member of the Christian Life Center in Parkersburg.Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Jeff L. Paszke and Jim A. Matheny both of Parkersburg; two step-children, Tom L. Matheny of St. Marys, Ohio and Sharon J. Thomas of Ohio City, Ohio; her brother, William F. Cady of Grove City, Ohio; two granddaughters, Crystal and Trish both of Celina, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Matheny Jr. in 1996; and her step-daughter, Becky Lynn Solemn.Private memorial services will be held later at the convenience of the family.
