Carol Ann Wilcox

Carol Hagerty Leisure Wilcox, 77, of Elizabeth, WV passed away September 28, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1942 in Creston, WV, daughter of the late Dorothy Jean Sodders Sutton. Carol worked at RCA in Findlay, Ohio and had also worked in the Home Health field. She liked flowers, music, collecting Indian memorabilia and attended the Methodist Church in Elizabeth. Carol is survived by her husband, William E. Wilcox, Sr; her children, Dawanna Smith (Donald) of Parkersburg, Brian Leisure of Elizabeth, and Dena Best (Todd) of Mt. Blanchard, Ohio; Joseph D. Leisure, father of her children; one step-son, William Wilcox, Jr. (Brenda) of Nashua, NH; one sister, Peggy Nutter of Parkersburg; two brothers, Robert and Jack Sutton both of Parkersburg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Joseph “Dale” Leisure II; two sisters, Joy Darlene Moore and Tonda Jean Pryor; and four brothers, John Hagerty, Denver Ray Sutton, David Sutton and Leroy Sodders. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery in Parkesburg. Visitation will be Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
