Carol June Buffington Cline, 71, of Sandyville, W.Va., passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on Nov. 22, 2015 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born June 20, 1944, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late William O. and Edna A. Eagle Buffington. Carol married Alfred L. Cline on June 26, 1965 and they began their life together. She previously worked at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in the dietary department and Aunt Sissy's Daycare in Parkersburg. She worked at Wirt County Senior Citizen's as a homecare giver. She is survived by her children, Teresia Fought (Timothy Abel) of Big Springs, W.Va., Alfred Cline Jr. (Denver Rowley) and Rebecca (Shawn) Almashy of Sandyville, W.Va.; siblings, Alma Cline of Cutler, Ohio, Deloris “Sis” (Lyle) Martin of Stockport, Ohio, Darleen Cottrell of Palestine, W.Va., Bud Buffington of Dallison, W.Va., Bill Buffington of Massillon, Ohio, Jim Buffington of Canton, Ohio, and David (Sharon) Buffington of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Tonya Fought (David Lee) of Parkersburg, Adam Abel of Big Springs, Sara Almashy and Jessica Almashy, both of Sandyville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Cline, passed away Feb. 1, 2014; and three brothers, Gary, Bob and Tink Buffington. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28,2015 at Union Chapel Church on Windy Ridge Road in Sandyville with Pastor Danny Schreckengost officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
