Carma M. Guertin, 89, of Severn, Maryland, formerly of Vienna, WV passed away February 18, 2018 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 13, 1928 in Glen Robbins, Ohio, daughter of the late Ross I. and Nellie E. Gibbons Cox. She was retired from Corning Glass in Parkersburg. Carma was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she was active in serving in the Altar Guild Society, St. Annes Guild, and the Episcopal Women's Group where she served as president and co-coordinator of the Trinity Book Sale for several years. She was also an active member with the Red Cross for over 20 years, where she assisted with blood drives. She was an animal lover and fostered sick animals for the animal shelter. Carma's hobbies included sewing, knitting and cooking. Her true love was her grandchildren. Carma is survived by three sons, Morris C. Currey (Leslie) of Westminster, Colorado, Judson C. Currey (Jennifer) of Parkersburg, and David J. Currey (Joanna) of Severn, Maryland; a daughter, Elizabeth J. Fmura (Ike) of Miamisburg, Ohio; five grandchildren; Justin Currey, Carter Currey, Michael Fmura, Camille Currey and Nikolas Currey and two great-grandchildren, Donovan and Logan Currey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Guertin; and a brother, Ross Cox. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 10, 2018 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Parkersburg. A reception will follow the service in Trinity Hall.
