Camele Ann Fletcher (Smith), 69, of Williamstown, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, just days before her 70th birthday on February 5. Though her time here feels far too short, the love she gave and the life she built will be carried forward by all who knew her. Camele was born to Mary Ann and Jack Smith and grew up surrounded by family and strong values that shaped the woman she became. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Pam Snider, whom she missed dearly. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Larry Fletcher, her constant partner and best friend. Together they built a life rooted in devotion, laughter, unwavering support, and together they shared a strong belief in God and eternal life in Heaven. She was a proud and deeply loving mother to her daughters, Paige and Angelina, who were the center of her world. She also loved her two grandkids, Pablo and Luna. She is survived by her sisters Jackie (Danny) and Tammy (Mike), along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Camele was the very definition of a devoted soul. She belonged to the Gideons and enjoyed passing out testaments in her community. She was also a dedicated and active member of Grace Baptist Church, where she formed close, meaningful friendships and found a second family. She especially treasured the annual camping trips and beach “girls’ trips,” moments filled with laughter, faith, and memories she held close to her heart. To know Camele was to be loved by her. She was the most caring, patient, and compassionate mother, always ready with a listening ear, gentle advice, or one of her perfectly timed, quick-witted one-liners. Her sense of humor was effortless and unforgettable—she could light up a room without even trying. In her quieter moments, Camele found joy in her craft room, meticulously working on miniatures—one of her greatest passions. Her creativity, attention to detail, and persistence were reflections of how she approached life itself: thoughtfully, lovingly, and with purpose. Camele graduated from Williamstown High School before proudly serving her country in the United States Army. While stationed in Germany, she worked as a Morse code interpreter, a role that showcased her intelligence, discipline, and dedication. After her service, she spent 30 years working at Allegheny Power, where she built a long and respected career—and where fate led her to Larry. They married in 1982 and went on to share 44 wonderful years side by side. Camele Ann Fletcher leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, humor, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always present in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. A celebration of Camele's life is planned for 2:00 PM, February 14 at Grace Baptist Church with a flag ceremony honoring her military service.
