Burdia Elizabeth Prather

Burdia E. Prather, 88, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Arbors of Marietta.She was born, January 2, 1927 at Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of the late James Albert and Lenora Bell Hopkins Jordan.Burdia is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Prather Bowers; sons, Steven A. Prather and Gary A. Prather; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene West.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Prather in 1988; and three brothers, Earl, Edward and James (Jim) Jordan.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street in South Parkersburg with Evangelist David Newberry officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells, W.Va. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
