Buddy Poling

Buddy Poling 79, of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Marietta Care and Rehabilitation Center, Marietta, Ohio.He was born September 5, 1935 in Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Earnest and Mioma Deem Poling. Buddy was a 1953 graduate of Williamstown High School and was retired from E.I. DuPont with over 25 years of service. He was a member of the Sand Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, sports, cars and motorcycles.Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Helen Smith Poling; four daughters, Vicki Lyons of Vienna, W.Va., Melissa King of Columbia, SC, Melinda Lott (Jim) of Williamstown, W.Va., and Lauren Workman of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister, Virginia LeMasters (Bob) of Marietta, Ohio; four grandchildren, Darren Lott (Autumn) of Williamstown, Jessica Osborne (Jason) Little Mountain, SC, Cody Lyons (Lillian) of Williamstown, and Ryan Lott (Sena) of Williamstown; and four great-grandchildren, Abigailand William Osborne and Carter and Stella Lott.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Steed and Jean Wittekind. Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Sand Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Gedon officiating.Private inurnment will be at the convenience of the family at the Riverview Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sand Hill United Methodist Church Building fund, 1295 River Road, Williamstown, WV 26187.
