Brian Michael Peters

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Michael Peters, age 37, of Washington, West Virginia. Brian left us on December 29, 2021, in Parkersburg, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

Born on September 21, 1984, in Parkersburg, Brian was the beloved son of Bob and Debbie Peters. He will always be remembered for his joyful spirit and the infectious smile that could light up a room. A proud graduate of PSHS and WVU-P, Brian earned his welding certificate and went on to serve in the Merchant Marines, an experience that he cherished immensely.

Brian was passionate about sports, sharing joyful moments while hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and boxing. His true artistry shone through in the music he created, with heartfelt songs that reflected his deep emotions. Those who knew Brian understood his incredible capacity for love—he loved fiercely and unconditionally.

Though Brian may no longer be with us, his spirit, rich laughter, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Debbie Peters; his precious children, Ashten Marie Peters and Cohen Shawn Peters; devoted brothers, Tony Peters and Shane (Brandy) Peters; as well as his cherished nephew, Peyton, and nieces, Kyla, Teagan, and Felicity. He also leaves behind his grandmothers, Jean Peters and Sandra Kennedy, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts.

To honor the compassion Brian showed towards others, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Peer Solutions or St. Joseph Recovery Center.

A celebration of Brian's life will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Evangelists Randy Yerby and Mark Childers officiating. Friends are invited to join the family from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and again one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Following the service, a private graveside ceremony will be held for the family.
