Brian Jennings Butterfield 49, 0f Waverly, WV, passed away March 21, 2020, at Camden Clark Medical Center, following a massive brain bleed. He was born July 24, 1970 in Barnesville, OH, the youngest son of Tom and Nina Butterfield of McConnelsville, OH. Brian was a 1989 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He worked for 25 years at Mel’s Diamond House as a” Nationally Certified Goldsmith.” Brian was known for his great sense of humor and he numbered his loyal friends by the hundreds. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He loved working on any type of engine. His latest love was a 6N Ford Tractor. He and his dad spent many happy hours in restoring old vehicles and other castaway items. Brian was a member of the 36th. St. Church of Christ in Vienna. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Christa of Waverly; a daughter, Adrienne Coss of Parkersburg; two grandsons who he was raising, Lucas and Dakoda Coss of the home; two brothers, Mark and Paul and one sister, Brenda all of Vienna; two step-daughters, Renee Hughes (Wes) and Kayla Richards (Jason); five step-grandchildren, Owen, Kerrigan, Rylee and Aydon Cunningham, Harley Hughes and soon to arrive Jaxon Hughes, plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one step-son, Jacob Cunningham and one step-grandson, Edward Thompson, Jr. Brian will be sorely missed by all who knew him!
