Brenda Lea Dennewitz-Jones

Brenda Lea Dennewitz-Jones, 43, of Clarksburg, W.Va., passed away on July 16, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family.She was born November 29, 1969, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of Vora Corrine Hickel Dennewitz of Parkersburg and the late David Lee Dennewitz.Brenda was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School, with the class of 1988, and was employed with the FBI in Clarksburg for 17 years.She loved reading her Bible and spending time with her family.She loved watching the WVU Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers play football.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ed Jones; two daughters, Stephanie (Caleb) Childers and Chasity (Mathew) Johnson; her granddaughter, Lailah Johnson; two siblings, Kimberly (Arley) Naylor and David (Jeanette) Dennewitz; her nieces, Nicole Naylor, Amber Naylor, Brooke Naylor, Christina Dennewitz, Chelsea Dennewitz and Jacklynn Dennewitz; one nephew, Frederick Cochran; her favorite dog, Shortie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Cloris Hickel; her paternal grandparents, Cornelius and Nellie Dennewitz; and her cousin, Rick Marlow.Brenda will be deeply missed by her family.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Gary Weaver officiating.Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, at the funeral home.Brenda and her family have requested that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Linda Hickel Fund c/o Vora Dennewitz, 617 Jameson St., Parkersburg, WV26101.
