Bonnie Torbert (Shock), 66, of Marietta, Ohio passed away November 29, 2015 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, in Marietta. She was born July 28, 1949 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late James B. Collins and Edna M. Collins Smith. Bonnie was a waitress and cook at The Golden Eagle, Hilltop, Busy Bee and First Settlement Restaurants. She enjoyed her family and was very involved with her grandchildren's activities. She especially enjoyed the holiday season and preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. She attended the Bethel Lighthouse Church in Marietta. She is survived by the love of her life for 35 years, Phil Shock; two daughters, Kathleen Johnson and Donna Torbert both of Marietta; one son, James Torbert of Alaska; three sisters, Brenda Collins of Marietta, Belinda McConaha , and Benita Daniell both of Parkersburg; two brothers, James Collins of Parkersburg and Chris Collins; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and the many friends she made throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Collins; a nephew, Michael McConaha; and a brother-in-law, Gary Hart. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at The Bethel Lighthouse Church on Warren Chapel Road in Marietta, with Kevin Gutberlet officiating.
