Bonnie M. Lewis Kerns of Parkersburg, passed away on April 9, 2019 with family by her side at The Willows Nursing Home of Parkersburg. She was born to the late Fred Lewis and Irene Chancey Lewis, July 1, 1936 in Jackson County, WV. Bonnie graduated from Ripley High School in 1955 as well as the Charleston Business College. She was a member of the Lubeck Community Baptist Church. She married Paul Kerns in May of 1971 and resided in Parkersburg for 48 years. Bonnie is survived by her two children and two step-children, James Riggs (Deanna), Pamela Brooks, Amanda Miller and Randy Kerns; a brother and two sisters, Larry Lewis (Reva Jo), Betty Nutter (Bob) and Ilene Full (Clifford); 7 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Paula Self. Bonnie was a devout Christian and loved gardening, sewing and cooking. She was proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories. As her health declined, she prayed and spoke often of wanting to see Jesus. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm. on Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses including, Jennifer Gibson with Hospice Care and The Willows Nursing Home for their dedication and care.
