Bobby "Bob" W. Starcher

Bobby W. “Bob” Starcher, 81, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on October 22, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born March 12, 1933, in Vienna, W.Va., a son of the late Herbert Oral and Irma Geneva Morrison Starcher.Bobby was a 1953 graduate from Parkersburg High School, had worked at the Datsun Auto Dealership and retired from West Virginia State Road Department of Highways as a mechanic. He loved working on cars, taking car rides and attended Edgelawn United Methodist Church.He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Caplinger Starcher; one son, Joe Starcher of Chicago, Ill.; two special nieces, Cindy (Mike) Kerns and Tammy (Don) Cooper; and special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sterling and June Houck.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, W.Va. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
