Birdie Ruth Rhodes

Birdie Ruth Rhodes, 98, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away at her residence Tuesday, May 3, 2016 She was born December 13, 1917 in Millwood, W.Va. the daughter of the late Carl and Bessie Roush Bennett. Birdie was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers. She is survived by four daughters, Lula Knox (James) of Parkersburg, Margory Martin (Howard) of Washington, W.Va., Wanda Bradford of Belpre, OH and Estella Masters (Raymond) of Newport, OH; two sons, Charles Bennett (Tincy) of Ravenswood, W.Va. and Harry Bennett of South Carolina; one sister, Beluah Gilbert of West Lafayette, OH; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Erma Jean Hoschar, one grandson, Jeffery Wright and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. South Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
