Billy D. Taylor, 83, of Mineral Wells, passed away February 26, 2018 at The Belpre Landing Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born December 13, 1934, in Ritchie County, WV, a son of the late Harry C. and Corinne Baker Taylor. Billy formerly worked for the Cattle Breeders Association, The American Viscose (FMC) and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a graduate of Pennsboro High School class of 1952 Billy was a member of the Sunrise Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed traveling and being with his family especially his grandchildren. Billy is survived by his wife, Christina Kibble Boston Taylor; two daughters, Dixie Vaughan (Joe) of Murphytown, WV and Sabrena Watson (Carl) of Kissimmee, FL; four grandchildren, Rachel and Andrew Stone, Jay Watson (Yudith), and Stacy Watson; two step-grandchildren, C.J. Vaughan (Natalie) and Adam Vaughan (Holli); four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Richards (Arnold) of Harrisville, WV and Helen Hoalcraft (Sonny) of Burlington, WV; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his first wife, Lula Belle Morrison Taylor; son in-law, Thomas Stone II; two sisters, Mabel Jean Hoalcraft and Betty Sue Huffman; and one brother, Harry Junior Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Evangelist Elvis Galbreath officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
