Billy D. Spiker, 88, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away September 30, 2015 at his residence.Billy was born August 2, 1927 in Pullman, W.Va. (Ritchie County), a son of the late Reverend Thomas and Lena Spiker. Bill graduated in 1946 from P.H.S. and retired from Matheny Motor Truck Company after 57years.He was a diesel mechanic by trade. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, traveling W.Va. mountains, his pets, and most of all he loved his family.Billy is survived by his wife, Betty Scarberry Spiker of 68 years; two sons, Don Spiker (Roxanne), Rick Spiker (Kaye); a daughter, Tina Shaffer (Jeff); and a son-in-law, Mike Holland; eleven grandchildren, Richie Spiker, Mike Spiker, Michelle Spiker Puccio, Robin Spiker, Stephanie Spiker Barnhart, Kaitlyn Jackson, Chelsea Jackson Tetreaut, Taylor Jackson, Madison Shaffer, Chris Holland, Katy Holland Freeman; and twelve great-grandchildren, BreAnna Spiker, Alexis Spiker, Kyla Spiker, Christopher Spiker, Alexandria Barker, MaKayla Sirk, Anthony Puccio, Nicolas Puccio, Leland Barnhart, Raelyn Barnhart, Braylon Freeman, Brinley Freeman.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Randle Thomas; a daughter, Carla Spiker Holland; a grandson, Andrew “Andy” Spiker; a brother, Joe Spiker; three sisters, Tessie Spiker, Helen Richman, Mary Catherine “Dot” Spiker, his beloved pet beagles, Rowdy, Dutchess, Freakles; and a cat, Muffin.The family wishes to extend special thanks to Housecalls Hospice; Dr. Jennifer Shreves and all who helped in his care.There will not be a viewing. A family gathering of love and support will be held at the family home. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna is assisting the family.
