Billy Jemison Jones

Billy Jemison Jones, 85, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away, March 22, 2015, at his residence. He was born Oct. 8, 1929 in Middlebourne, W.Va., son of the late James Edwin and Opal Jemison Jones.He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a graduate of Glenville State College with a degree in Education.He retired from the Department of Health & Human Resources.Billy enjoyed WVU and Steelers football, gardening, golf and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Bill is survived by a step-daughter, Melissa Stackpole (Randy) of Ohio; a step-son, James “Matt” Hill (Kim) of Mineral Wells; and eleven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Jones; and a brother. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, W.Va.The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
