Billy Joe Jenkins

Billy Joe Jenkins Sr, 77, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1941, in Volcano, WV, the son of the late Ava D. and Mary Alice Sprouse Jenkins of Parkersburg. Billy served in the National Guard and was retired from Union Carbide and Nashua Photo. He was a master leather carver; he sang in many gospel quartets and played the steel guitar and bass. Billy attended Spreading Truth Ministries. He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. Jenkins; two daughters, Anita Lynn Moree (Darryl) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Robin Diahann Jenkins of Parkersburg; two sons, Billy J. Jenkins Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brian D. Jenkins of Pineville, LA; seven grandchildren, Crystal Smith (Jeromy) of Parkersburg, Brittany Furr, Chuckie (Trish) Prunty all of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ryan and Justin Jenkins of California, Skylar and Austin VanCamp of Parkersburg; twelve great-grandchildren; brother and sister in-law, Lanny and Patricia Holbert. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St, Parkersburg with Pastor Ralph Tisdale officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm. on Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
