Billy Eugene Ayers

Billy Eugene Ayers, 81, of Vienna, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Ohio Valley Health Care. He was born November 9, 1938, in Parkersburg, a son of the late James Carmet and Sylvia Demarce Beckett Ayers. Billy retired from Corning Glass after 38 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Billy was a member of the 14th Ave. Gospel Mission Church. He is survived by his four children, Mike (JoAnn) Daugherty of Mineral Wells, Judy (Bob) Phillips of Rochester, NY, Mark (Beverly) Daugherty of Parkersburg and Charles Daugherty of Houston, TX; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his two beloved cats. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ayers; and his daughter, Sharon Werth. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, with Pastor Tim Burch officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
