Billie Franklin Roach, 80 of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away June 2, 2015 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.He was born May 17, 1935 in Gassaway, W.Va., the son of the late Everett and Amanda Riep Roach.Billie retired from Keene Corp. and from the Wood County Board of Education. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed hunting, old guns and his rabbit dog (Smokey Joe). He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served from 1954-1958. He is survived by three sons, William Howard (Tonda) Roach of Carolina Beach, NC., Christopher Scott Roach and Douglas Andrew Roach (Jackie Maidens) all of Williamstown, W.Va.; sisters, Wilda, Wanda, Wilma and Patty; grandchildren, Alison Renee Roach and Kyle Douglas Roach both of Williamstown, Shawn Robert Roach of Charleston, S.C., Megan Cheyenne Roach and Abby Lynn Roach both of Marietta,Ohio; and two great-grandchildren, Mia Bernice and Riley Jane.In addition to his parents, Billie was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Roach on April 17, 2011; four sisters, Helen, Mabel, Violet and Betty; and one brother, Tom.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Dean Ash officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
