Betty Lynn Vickers

Betty Lynn Vickers, 69, of Washington, W.Va. passed away on Oct. 26, 2015 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.She was born March 20, 1946, in Charleston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Howard Leslie “Tommy” and Pansy Hughes Thompson.Betty was a social worker with the Ohio State Government. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, bowling, camping, and flowers with her daughter. She founded a Bird Club at North Bend State Park. She was a member of The Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd in Parkersburg.She is survived by her husband, Michael Trent Vickers; her daughter, Mechelle L. Vickers of Dunbar, W.Va.; her son, Brian K. Vickers (Taylor) of Washington, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Mika L., Kandra A., Trinity N., Seraphina G. Vickers; and her dog, Rufus.Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with the Rev. Marquita Hutchens officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
