Betty Corene Mitchell

Betty C. Mitchell, age 83, of Parkersburg passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 12, 1934 in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Victor and Ona Smith Craven. Betty was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after 36 years of service. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her two dogs. She is survived by her friends, Rodney Westfall (Cheryl) and Erik Westfall (Christy) all of Davisville, WV, Fanny Carson and Connie Zinn and family all of Parkersburg; niece, Shirley Deem of Parkersburg and sister-in-law, Elva Gummo of Punta Grove, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll E. Mitchell; two sisters; and her friend Junior Carson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St., Parkersburg. Burial will follow at the Kanawha Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
