Betty Clara Laughlin

Betty Clara Laughlin, 91, of Parkersburg passed away May 14, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born June 17, 1925 in Wood County, WV, daughter of the late Sylvester and Clara Sutton Wilson. She had worked at the Viscose in Parkersburg and was a caregiver to many. She was a member of Edgelawn United Methodist Church. Betty is survived by a daughter, Pam Simmons of Greenville, NC; a son, Doug Laughlin of Parkersburg; a brother, Max Wilson (Jo Ann) of Vienna, WV; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Laughlin; two brothers, Godfrey Wilson and Kenneth Wilson; and two sisters, Myrtle Moore and Madeline Bradley. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Ed Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
