Betty Jane Jett

Betty Jane Jett, 78, of Vienna, walked into Heaven on January 18, 2016. She was born January 30, 1937, in Phillipi, W.Va., the daughter of the late John L. and Arnetta B. Strother Goodwin. Betty was a graduate of Lost Creek High School, a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. As a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church, she was dedicated to people, ministry and outreach. She was currently a member of Vienna Wesleyan Church. Although she faced health challenges in her later years, she continued to provide God's joy and love to everyone she met. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Laird of Parkersburg, Debbie Jett (Mary Exline) of Parkersburg and Darlene Jett (Patty Arthur) of Dunbar; one grandson, Robert Laird of Parkersburg; two sisters, Orpha Mae Anderson (Bucky) of Atlanta, Ga. and Willa Jean Wiant of Clarksburg; one brother, Daniel Goodwin (Pat) of Vienna; three special nieces, Tracey Province, Angela DalBello and Sherry Swiger and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 41 years, Robert Lee Jett; two brothers, Paul Goodwin and John Goodwin (Junior); one sister, Sandra Lynn Goodwin and son-in-law, Marshall Laird. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 22, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave Vienna, with Reverend Russell Wooten officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Parkersburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
