Betty M. Deem

Betty M. Deem, 87 of Parkersburg, W.Va. died Aug. 17, 2016 at her home. She was born Aug. 3 1929 in Alliquippia, PA, a daughter of the late William Fielder and Dorothy Ruff Fielder. She was of Episcopalian by faith. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School class of 1947 and a 1964 graduate of the Marietta School of Practical Nursing. She was employed in office work until 1964 and employed in Nursing until her retirement in 1991. Betty dearly loved her dog, Joey, the New York Yankees, reading, working crossword puzzles and square dancing. She is survived by a cousin, Gary Ruff; and special friends, Ilene Viers and Jerry Rake. Honoring Betty's request there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at Evergreen North Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Betty's name to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, P.O. Box 392 Parkersburg, WV 26101.
