Bessie (Betty) Laverna Ruocco

Bessie L. (Betty) Ruocco 79, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away October 30, 2013, at her residence.She was born December 1, 1933 in Ravenna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank Beatty and Mary Knight Beatty.Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was employed with Elder-Beerman until her retirement. She attended The First Christian Church of Parkersburg, W.Va.She is survived by her husband, Joseph Ruocco; one daughter, Linda Harvey (Ron) of Vienna, W.Va.; one brother, Walter Beatty (Shirley) of Ravenna, Ohio; three grandchildren, her “precious angels” Kelly Byford (Billy)of Fayetteville, NC, Courtney Sheff (Adam) of Coolville, Ohio and Katie Weaver (Aaron) of Boaz, W.Va.; and one great-granddaughter, Lorelai Weaver. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary D. McNulty in 1979; two brothers, Frankie and Milton; and two sisters, Frances and Marie.Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Brent Duncan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.The family requests that memorial donations be made to The WV Children's Home Society 1640 St. Marys Ave. Parkersburg WV 26101.
