Bernard Dean Dilly, 81, of Mineral Wells, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born August 1, 1937, the son of the late Isaac E. “Bernard” and BessAnn Richards Dilly. Bernard was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from Corning/Schott Glass. He enjoyed NASCAR, football, his pets and spending time with his grandchildren. Bernard was a member of the Eagles and one of the first members of the Mineral Wells Fire Department. He is survived by his son, Rocky Dilly (Tina) of Mineral Wells; son in-law, David Sprouse of Parkersburg; brother, Duane Dilly (Wanda) of Florida; sister in-law, Deanna Dilly of Michigan; three grandchildren, Amie Dilly, Jacob Sims (Amber) and Whitney Lemus-Diaz (Jose); and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Pauline Dilly; daughter, Kimberly Dilly Sims Sprouse; brother, Richard Okey “Dick” Dilly; and one great-grandson, Jaxson Lemus-Diaz. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be from 11 am. – 1 pm. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society in memory of Bernard.
