Benny Anthony Colantoni, 94 of Vienna departed this life on Monday, June 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 24, 1924 in Villetta Barrea, Italy, a son of the late Evaristo Colantoni and Angelanna Celidonia Colantoni. Benny was a World War II Veteran and was a Sergeant in the 25th Mobile Repair and Reclamation Squadron (Airplane and Engine Mechanic). He was employed as an Airplane Mechanic by United Airlines for 25 years. Benny was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ and loved to lead singing, was a very giving soul and loved playing his musical instruments. Benny was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Louise (Shuman) Colantoni. He is survived by his brother, Anzo Colantoni (Jean) of Pittsburg, PA; his sister, Norma Migliazza of Carpinteria, Calif.; sister-in-laws, Loretta Ruth Moore of Waverly, WV and Juanita Nunn (Jack) of Eden, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with James Nunn officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. We want to thank Doctor Ryan Lowers for his devoted care and also his caregivers, who he loved very much for their care and love.
