Barry Lynn Shaulis, 66, passed away March 18, 2017, after a short battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Anna “Louise” Pizer Shaulis and Vernon Davis Shaulis, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers David, Vernon Jr. and Douglas Shaulis and sisters Caryl Shaulis and Penny O’brien. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Allen Shaulis; son, Todd Shaulis (Shannan); daughter, Amy Frame (Greg); grandchildren, Cameron Frame, Carson Allen and Emerson Shaulis all of Parkersburg; sister, Kerry Shaulis of Bethany, WV; sister in law, Brenda Chichester (Rick) of Hendersonville, TN; nieces, Sherri Shaulis, Lauren O’brien, Natasha Chichester and Rhonda O'brien; nephews, Shawn Shaulis, Nathan Chichester, David Shaulis, Steven Shaulis and Jim O'brien; and great nephews, Mason Shaulis and Hayden Chichester. Barry graduated from Elkins High School in 1968. He received a Bachelor’s of Arts from Glenville State College and a Master’s Degree from WVU. He retired from the Bureau of the Public Debt after 35 years of service during which time he also worked for the Office of the Inspector General. He was a Certified Public Accountant and maintained a business for several years. Barry was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a loving family man and a good friend. He enjoyed playing poker with family and friends and he loved traveling and working to get “the best deal”. Friends may visit and reminisce with the family from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home on Pike Street in South Parkersburg. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Pastor Russell Wooten presiding.
