Barbara Irene Friese

Barbara Irene Friese (VanFossen), 82, of Rockport, passed away on February 26, 2025. She was born on June 14, 1942 to the late Cliffon Eugene and Eva Irene VanFossen (Lynch).

Barb had previously been employed at Dils department store and Krogers. She enjoyed bird watching, flower gardens, anytime she could spend at the beach and time with her great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Owens (Charlie) of Rockport; one son, Christopher Friese (Jamie) of Rockport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William F. Friese; a sister, Karen S. Lamp; one son, William A. Friese; a grandson, William E. Friese; and a great-great-grandson, Eli James Hensley.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. South Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
