Barbara S. Franklin Johnson Richardson

Barbara Franklin Johnson Richardson, 79, of Washington, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1939, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Charles Robert and Bonnie Faye Stanley Franklin. Barbara was a member of the Rock Church of Parkersburg. She enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Gibbs of Washington, WV; her son, Scott Johnson (Amy) of Washington, WV; her sister, Bonnie Lacy of Kevil, KY; her brother, Robert D. Franklin of Manchester, NH; her aunt, Reba Daugherty of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Samantha Gibbs, Abbie Gibbs, Alexandria Johnson, Danielle Johnson and Cody Hively; one great-granddaughter, Arianna Gibbs and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin F. Richardson; her brother in-law, Michael Lacy; and her sister in-law, Della Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor David Chisholm officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
