Barbara Mae Deem

Barbara Mae Deem, 74, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on June 10, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 22, 1942, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Franklin and Mildred Fickisen Peck. Barbara was a homemaker and worked for 17 years in the laundry service at Camden Clark Medical Center. She loved and lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed playing dominoes and doing word search puzzles. She attended Spreading Truth Ministries. She is survived by one daughter, Barbie Cottrell (Jeff) of Parkersburg; two sons, Bobby Deem (April) of West Fargo, North Dakota and Barry Deem (Beth) of Washington, W.Va.; two sisters, Shirley Atkinson and Charlotte Williams (Earl) both of Parkersburg; one brother, Charles Peck of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Deem; one daughter, Bonnie Deem; four sisters, and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Ralph Tisdale officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. on Sunday at the funeral home.
