Barbara Jean Bailey

Barbara Jean Bailey, 80, of Parkersburg passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 1, 1937 in Star City, WV, a daughter of the late Ray and Ruby Auville Clark. She was a U.S. Army Signal Corp. veteran. Barbara retired from the Wood County Correctional Center where she was the head cook. After retirement she was a caregiver to the elderly. She is survived by two sons; William Story (Angie) of Catlettsburg, KY. and John Story (Kris) of Zanesville, OH.; three grandchildren, William Story, Jr., Candice Story and Amanda Abram; three great-grandchildren, Maxx Thompson, Rae Lyn Thompson and Samuel Isaac Story; five sisters, Lillian of Arizona, Velda of Parkersburg, Jeanette of Parkersburg, Yvonne of Mineral Wells and Lou of Belpre; one brother, Bob of Arizona. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Martin Bailey, two brothers, James and Lee; and two sisters, Marlin and Margaret. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
