She is the daughter of Mari McDonough and Christian Saxton both of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents, she is survived by, her maternal grandparents, John and Donna McDonough of Newport News, VA; and her paternal grandparents, Tia Daugherty (Alan) and William Saxton all of Parkersburg.
Mari and Christian found out they were having little Ava Marie on May 4, 2023. Since then Ava brought so much joy and light into their lives and the lives of everyone around her. She had so much character despite not being born yet, she was lively and ornery and was often called a wiggle worm. Ava didn't sit still for no one, not even her parents. With every passing day the love that grew for her hasn't stopped growing. She may not be here anymore regardless, we will all carry little Ava Marie in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
A funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with her maternal grandfather, John McDonough officiating. Burial will follow at River Hill Cemetery. A gathering will be from noon to 1 P.M. at the funeral Home.
