Austin Eugene “Bud” Pierce, 79, of Wyngate Senior Living, Parkersburg, W.Va., formerly of Washington, Utah, passed away April 6, 2019 at his residence. Bud was born in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Joseph Austin and Mabel Irene Springston Pierce. He was a member of the former Dupont Road Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and retired as an electrician with I.B.E.W. 968. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Sarver (John) of Washington, Utah; his son, Michael Pierce (Laura) of Ivins, Utah; his sister, Irene Walters of Parkersburg; two brothers, Larry Pierce and David Pierce, both of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Emily Crutchfield (Dan), Amanda Kolody (Alex), Matthew Sarver and Molly Rost (Garrett); and three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Noah and MaKenna. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on September 26, 2017, by his loving wife, Amy Inez Ross Pierce; two brothers, Paul Pierce and an infant brother, Cletis Lynn Pierce; a sister, Jean Middleton and a grandson, Benjamin Sarver. Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Lubeck Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service time at the funeral home.
