Audrey Leontine Morrison

Audrey L. Morrison, 80, of Mineral Wells, passed away March 16, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1944 in Pennsboro, a daughter of the late Gail and Mary Wells Jones.

She was a former instructor at the Parkersburg Cosmetology School, she was a co-owner, along with her sister Diane, of Elegant Lady Hair and Tanning Salon in Pettyville, and she was also a co-owner and instructor along with her husband, Donald, of the Century School of Cosmetology in Steubenville, OH. She was a member of the Mineral Wells Baptist Church for many years and sang gospel music as a soloist and with many various groups including G.M.R. She was one of those unique people who always found four leaf clovers throughout her life; she always said " you don't find them, they find you."

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Dena Morrison of Vienna; a step-son, Bryan Wilson (Esther) of Lost Creek, WV; a brother, Phillip Jones (Connie) of Mineral Wells; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Morrison; two brothers, her twin brother Roger Jones and Gary Jones; an infant brother; a sister, Diane Law; and a great niece, Ashley Fanz.

Funeral services with be 11:00 am, Monday, March 24, 2025 at Mineral Wells Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 23 from 2 – 4 p.m., at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. South Parkersburg, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
