Audre Amelia VanEtta Conroe, 94, of Belpre, Ohio, died peacefully at her daughters’ home. She was one of eight children born to the late Dr. Michael and Jeanne VanEtta. She was born in Chicago and became a medical technician. Audre was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Belpre Senior Center, and was a volunteer at Camden Clark Hospital for nineteen years. She enjoyed golf, sewing and crocheting. She is survived by daughter, Ginny Nichols (Delbert), of Vincent, Ohio; one brother, Dr. Robert VanEtta of Bella Vista, Arkansas; there are four granddaughters, Penny Rogers and Misty Nichols, both of Belpre, Ohio, Jennifer Faulk of Vincent, Ohio, and Anne Hanson of Seattle, Washington; there are nine Great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Audre was preceded in death by her husband Earl Conroe, daughters Teresa Jeanne Conroe, Carol Hanson, and son, Chris Conroe. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5080 School House Road, Little Hocking, Ohio with Father Bob Gallagher officiating. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard is assisting the family.
