Ashley Kay Kersey Saunders

Ashley Kay (Kersey) Saunders, 25, of Williamstown, WV, passed away on December 25, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born July 12, 1992, in Jacksonville, NC, daughter of James C. Kersey (Samantha) of Ravenswood, WV and Mildred Modesitt (Jeffrey DeVol) of Williamstown, WV. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Casey D. Saunders; son, Casey James Kersey of Ravenswood; her sister, Jillian Marie Modesitt of Williamstown; maternal grandfather, James R. Allen; paternal grandparents, John Kersey and Judy Whited; uncles, James D. Allen, Kevin Allen, Timothy Allen; aunts, Angela Hoffman and Lisa Hunt; cousin and best friend, Brittany Fittro; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Arlene Garrett; grandfather, Granville Whited; and her uncle, John M. Kersey. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg is assisting the family.
