Arminta Kidd Stevens, 88, of Mineral Wells, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24, 2017. She was born May 4, 1929, in Sophia, WV, a daughter of the late Elmer Glen and Bertha Mae McDonald Jones. Arminta loved and was loved by her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed Facebook, walking, festivals and listening to country western and gospel music. Arminta was also a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Victoria Jarvis of Mineral Wells and Barbara Davis of Parkersburg; one son, Gary (Becky) Kidd of Grandberry, TX; five grandchildren, Kimberly Ferner, Rhonda (Jason) Mahaney, Kelly Brown, Eric (Alicia) Beeson and Justin Kidd; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Bonnie and Kay. In addition to her parents, Arminta was preceded in death by her first husband, Basil Kidd; her second husband, Vivian Stevens; and five siblings. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Melvin Boggs officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
