Arley Leon Pidcock, 74, of Florida, formerly of Vienna, W.Va. lost his two-year battle with cancer, on Jan. 28, 2015, in Daytona Beach Fla.He was born March 16, 1940, in Wirt County, W.Va., a son of the late John William and Alma Somerville Pidcock.He was an auto mechanic and worked for Penn Metal, Montgomery Ward, and owned and operated Arley's Auto Shop in South Parkersburg. Arley was a graduate of Wirt County High School in 1958, and was a member of the B.P.O.E., the V.F.W. 1212, and the Eagles. Arley was an avid NASCAR racing fan. He also enjoyed gardening and being with friends and family.Arley is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Lillie Jane Stone Mitchell Pelley Pidcock; daughter, Cheryl Li (Joseph) of Gallipolis, Ohio; step-daughter, Debra Jane Pace (Douglas) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; son, Warren Pidcock (Carla Ayers) of Little Hocking, Ohio; step-son, William L. Mitchell (Karrie) of Little Hocking, Ohio; sister, Nora Stealey of Lorain, Ohio; three grandchildren, Stephanie Moss, Nachelle Flook, and Joey Li; five step-grandchildren, Tasha Mitchell, William L. Mitchell, Jr., Lila Mitchell, Alexis Lillie Brum, and Eric Stone Brum; and two great-grandchildren, Colin Corbett and Rylee Flook. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Lowe.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, and one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home,.
