The link is near the bottom of the page.Argil A. “Hoppy” Hopkins, Jr., 88 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away December 30, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born November 28, 1926 in Parkersburg, the son of the late Argil and Nellie Francis Hopkins.Hoppy graduated from P.H.S. where he excelled in football and track. He worked in the automobile business his entire career. Hoppy established the first Willys Dealership in the area and owned and operated Hopkins' Used Cars. He worked for Dils Motor Company in Parkersburg as used car manager and for several years worked for John Bosley Enterprises operating the truck sales lot. He loved Gospel Music and enjoyed going to area Gospel sings. Hoppy enjoyed designing and making clocks. He was a member of the Boaz Baptist Church.He is survived by two daughters, Candy Alfred (Bob) of Williamstown, W.Va., and Beth Nutter (Roger) of Parkersburg; two sons, Ron Hopkins (Wilma) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and David Hendershot of Pettyville, W.Va.; his grandchildren, Stacey Pryce, Heather Enoch, Mark Hopkins, Bob Cress, Christopher Cress, Nickia Nutter, Nicholas Nutter, Candy Hendershot, and Seth Hendershot; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Conger Bibbee of Vienna, W.Va.; two brothers, Frank Hopkins (Mary) of Mineral Wells, Charles Hopkins (Zeta) of Vienna, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a former daughter-in-law, Cindy Hopkins who is appreciated by the family for her love and attention. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kathryn Cline Hopkins who passed in 2004.Hoppy spent the last two years of his life at Worthington Manor Rehab Center where he made several friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff for the love and care extended to him.Memorial contributions may be made to the Boaz Baptist Church, General Fund, P.O.Box 138, Williamstown, WV 26187.Funeral services for Hoppy will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday Jan. 3, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with his son-in-law Pastor Bob Alfred officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and until time of services Saturday.
