April Desma Cox - Wise

April Desma Cox Wise LPN, 50, of Parkersburg, passed away December 23, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born April 16, 1968, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Royal Donavon Cox Sr. of Harrisville, WV and the late Mary Virginia Tanzey Cox. Desma was a graduate of Harrisville High School and received her LPN degree from the Wood County School of Practical Nursing. For over ten years she was employed by TLC In Home Care Services. She devoted the last several years to helping raise her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Desma loved sunsets, watching for rainbows, and telling others about Jesus. She is survived by her daughter, Jessa Mullen (Daniel Jr.”Buddy”) of Walker, WV; her son, Jaden Wise of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Briar, Blaze, and Morgan; four sisters, Sheila Ross Cox of Harrisville, WV, Germain Umstead (Randy) of Pullman, WV, Gale Cox Sauer of Parkersburg and Canaan Davidson (Jack) of Eagar, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Desma was preceded in death by one brother, Royal Donavon Cox II. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Minister Ron Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Pullman Cemetery, in Pullman, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
