Annetta Lee Powell

Annetta Lee Powell, 79 of Parkersburg passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at the Arbors at Marietta.She was born May 18, 1933 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Arthur and Annetta Lockhart Morris. She was a 1951 graduate of Fairmont High School and attended Mountain State Community College. She was employed in the mid 1950's by Dils' Bros. of Parkersburg while her husband was in the military. She was a Cub Scout Den mother and was member of St. Paul's Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. She was a woman of faith who studied many denominations. Annetta was loving and caring to all. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She loved tinkering with crafts and pictures.She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Billy Lynn Powell; two children, Robert “Billy” W. Powell and Annetta Jane Powell Moran; a brother, Ralph Morris of Cary, NC; a sister, Linda K. Morris of Vincent, Ohio; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Lewis Powell; and two brothers, Arthur L. Morris Jr. and Paul Morris.Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Don Yeager officiating.
