Anna Virginia Sams

Anna Virginia Sams, 84 of Parkersburg passed away June 4, 2018 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home. She was born July 28, 1933 in Chester, WV daughter of the late Belford and Helen Theiss Lynch. She volunteered with the Habitat For Humanity. She enjoyed cooking for her family and others. Anna is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Kennell of Canton, Ohio; two sons, Terry L. Sams of Parkersburg and James A. Sams of Burton, Ohio; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Donald, Johnny and Jeffery Sams; a daughter, Patricia Sams; three sisters, Betty DeVore, Polly Allison, and Judy DeVore; and a brother, David “Sonny” Lynch. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Randall Fusion officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Habitat For Humanity in memory of Anna.
