Colleen Presley, 86, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born in Parkersburg, September 14, 1929 a daughter of the late Florrie Jones and John McIntosh. She was a 1947 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She worked for Dr. James Batten and Pappas Brothers, and retired from the WV State Unemployment Office Compensation Division as a data entry operator. She was an avid bowler and a member of the WV Women's Bowling Association (WBA) where she was president for over twenty years. She was also a past president of the Parkersburg WBA. She was also Secretary-Treasurer of the WV 600 Women's Bowling club and served many years as the Director of the WV Senior Bowlers Tournament. Colleen worked diligently to raise money for the bowling association's Bowling Santa Program, which provided Christmas presents for underprivileged children in the Parkersburg area. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Colleen is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Presley-Ice (Ron) of Parkersburg and Beth Ferguson (Tim) of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Sarah, Timothy and Anna Ferguson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Presley in 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Evangelist Phil Sturm officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society.
