Amilie McGary 80, of Parkersburg, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 12, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Wood County, W.Va. on June 19, 1935, a daughter of the late Thomas and Leetah Rowand Balderson.Amilie was a member of the Gihon Tabernacle EMC where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a loving wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was having her home filled with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, John R. McGary whom she married March 2, 1951; three daughters, Carlene Cox (Jon), Tonya Hill (Gary) and Thresea McCrady (John) all of Parkersburg; one son, Tony McGary (Jill) of Columbus, Ohio; her grandchildren, Kelley Ray (Jeff), Joe Hill, Stephanie Pearce (Kevin), Eric McGary, Jason McCrady (Melissa), Matthew McGary (Katlyn), Vanessa McCrady, Natalie Connerty (Brendan) and Samantha Johnstone (Jason); fourteen great-grandchildren, Alcina, Skylar, Becca, Rachel, Brayden, Riley, Gabriel, Noah, Jameson, Jackson, Emmarie, Declan, Greyson and Ezekiel; and one brother, Carl Balderson of Parkersburg.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.Funeral services for Amilie will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg with Pastor Jeff Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 pm and one hour prior to services Wednesday.The family wishes to thank Housecalls Hospice for the care and support that they provided to Amilie and our family during her illness.
