Amber Renea Watkins, 36, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born on June 7, 1980 at Parkersburg, a daughter of Michael Lee Watkins and Kim (Terry) Hamilton all of Parkersburg. Amber loved animals especially her two dogs, Sophia and Baylee and her cat, Izzy. She attended PSHS, enjoyed the outdoors, four wheeler riding and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister and caretaker, Beth Watkins of Parkersburg; half sister, Stacey Watkins of Harrisville, W.Va.; her grandmother, Anne Longwell of Parkersburg; her companion, Darrell Simmons of Parkersburg; two special friends, Jerry Biles and Joe Casto; along with a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Zoey Renea; maternal grandfather, Tom Longwell; paternal grandparents, Howard and Betty Watkins; and step-grandparents, William and Helen Hamilton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Ron Hendershot officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. The family would like to thank Anita and Victoria and the rest of the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their exceptional care during this difficult time.
