Spears, 80, formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Oct. 24, 2010, at the Pine View Nursing Facility of Harrisville, W.Va.She was born Dec. 5, 1929, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Audrey and Demaris Dennis Thompson.Surviving is one brother, Ira Thompson Sr. and wife Ruth of Parkersburg, W.Va.; nieces, Vicki and Melanie; nephews, Ira Jr., Bill, Harold, Gary, Carl, and Joe; several great-nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Lou Ellen and Jo Ann Thompson.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Spears; and two brothers, Glen and Norman Thompson.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
