Alice Lambert Keffer, 90, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Ohio Valley Health Care. She was born December 1, 1925, in Tulsa, OK, a daughter of the late Raymond and Leona Lightner Lambert. She was a 1943 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She had previously worked at the American Viscoe Company during WW II and retired from the Dils Department Store after several years of service. She ministered to fellow residents at the Ohio Valley Nursing Home for the last seven years. Alice was a member of the Broadway Church of the Nazarene Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and worked in the nursery. She enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family. Alice is survived by her five children, Elizabeth Dye (John) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., William “Bill” Keffer (Carol) of Mineral Wells, Michael “Mike” Keffer (Linda) of Westerville, Ohio, Lois StoneKing (Tim) of Lubeck, W.Va. and Tina Stokes (Tom) of Cutler, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Keffer; one brother, Leslie Lambert; and two sisters, Betty Lambert and Donna Spence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Broadway Nazarene Church with Pastor Dan Meek officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church.
