Albert Wade Staats

Albert Wade Staats 88, of Boaz, passed away May 31, 2016 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born January 12, 1928 in Jackson County, W.Va., the son of the late Holly Wilmer and Della Bennet Staats. Albert retired from Universal/Diamond Glass Company as a mold maker. He enjoyed Machine shop work , farming, trout fishing and especially spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his two sons, Gerald W. Staats (Corrine) of Boaz, W.Va. and Joseph M. Staats of Casa Grande, AZ; one brother, Blaine E. Staats of Boaz; three grandchildren, Benjamin W. Staats (Crystal), Daniel Staats (Kelly) and Jo Ann Copen (William); great-grandchildren, Janet, Grace, Hazel, Mekaela and Kayleen and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. His wife, Garnet Ellen Hanna Staats, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. Joint funeral services for Wade and his wife, Garnet, will be held Tuesday, June 7th. at 1:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
